Default Forge DV spring change innitial results

I have gone through several tests now with stock and Forge DV (Vag-Com + Vacuum gauge). Here is what I have found(take it for what it's worth).

Stock DV
opens at 5'' Hg Fully 9'' Hg
Forge + Spring
Green opens 4'' Hg Fully 10'' Hg
Blue 8'' Opens 16.5 Fully

The point of all of this is that my TTR225(may not represent all) pulls 13.5'' Hg to the DV. After changing the spring from blue to green, it appears (Vag-Com confirms) that the turbo is having an easier time regaining boost after quick shifts. My estimation is that the fully opened valve under the lighter spring is opening quicker and more completely. Perhaps avoiding the partial turbo stall(I think this is correct) I experienced before the change under quick sequential shifts at high RPM(3-4-5). The green spring also appears to be closing just fine and holding plenty of boost(up to 1.4 Bar).

Food for thought,

Default My observations Forge vs. stock DV on 180 hp (no chip)

with stock DV max vacuum held approx. 12"
with Forge max vacuum held approx. 27"

max boost about the same approx. 9#

most noticeable is the differnce in transition from vaccuum to boost while accelerating

stock DV shows gradual smooth transition as though valve is closing slowly

Forge DV displays immediate step transition from vacuum to boost as though valve is "slamming" shut

Default Blue is the stock spring. If you're "green" with envy, contact Pete or Bob.

Forge tried as best to mimic the action of the stock DV (except failure) and the blue spring is their result.

http://www.stratmosphere.com</a

Same valve behavior here on my 225. Solid.

As Stated previously the my blue spring will not fully open under 10''Hg or the available 13''Hg. The green is closing quite well and holding boost under normal (vertical) installation. I cannot however speak to its ability to hold under horizontal orientation.
