TT Roof Rack? Worth it?

I am considering getting one. Anyone have one and like it, love it, hate it?

Anyone selling one?

Only rack you can get is the Thule made TT rack which Audi resells

It is expensive, a bit noisy and does not seem to have a fairing or any wheel holder attachments. But it is nicely integrated and looks pretty.

Another poor design feature is that you cannot completely open the rear hatch with a bicycle rack. And the rear of the holder will scratch your glass when it rests against it. They should have had some kind of folding bicycle holder that will lift when the hatch lifts.

No other choices that I am aware of though.

we have the Audi rack, like it, works fine. not cheap but appearance suits car very nicely...

Nope. It hangs onto the lip of the roof and is butt ugly.

I love my Audi base rack. I leave it on all the time since it makes my TT

distinctive and looks good.

Love it. Only way to carry my 11'3" /26.5"/ 4" thruster tanker. Talk about added downforce. ;-)

Sam agrees with you....she thinks the TT looks ultra cool with the rack on...she saw a bunch

up in Vermont last winter.

For me? Yep, definitely worth it. Couldn't have trekked w/ a bike across a part of the US without it
