Is the Haldex system 50/50 or is there a fwd bias?

Is the Haldex system 50/50 or is there a fwd bias?

I can't feel any torque steer so I'm guessing it's 50/50. Anyone know for sure?

If you are running dead straight on a dead level road, then 100% of the drive goes to the front wheels.

However, as soon as any wheel starts to rotate more than 15 minutes of arc out of synch Haldex kicks in.

In theory and practice Haldex can assign up to 100% to any of the wheels.

I guess when I read this I felt kind 'a jilted 'cause I thought I was getting quattro full time when

I purchased TT - well, according to the promo literature. Anyone else feel a bit down about this?

Its AWD not a 4x4... it only uses it when it needs it.

You're not alone. Let down a bit because it's not 50/50 but I can't tell a difference. It's more

mental than anything I think.

Heck, I can't tell the difference either, but having quattro in previous A4 and A6, thought I was

purchasing a similar/same system. From what I have read in this forum, though, this system may be superior - it's like you said, it's mental - you think you are buying one thing and find out afterwards, it's something else
