Default I'm thinking my baby needs a new a$$.

Ever since I picked up my TTR, I just can't help but think that I miss the nice smooth un-spoiled rear of my TTC.

Assuming I do the removal of the rear spoiler myself, anyone have any clue what it would cost to fill the holes and repaint the rear hatch lid? How close to stock do you think it would look after all is said and done?

Lastly ... anyone know of a good body shop that might be willing to tackle this project in the Boston/Providence area?

I think it was about $500 to fill & paint.

That's probably more realistic.

Default I'm the guy who is in the middle of despoiling my coupe lid, but don't recommend for ttr...

A new replacement trunk from audi comes without the spoiler. All you would need to do is have it painted. Easy and should not cost you more then a couple hundred total.

For the coupes its a huge PITA to buy a replacement hatch lid because you end having to swap your existing hatch window into the new hatch lid. Much easier to paint and fill. To paint the hatch lid is a couple of hundred dollars because its like repainting a bad scratch.

That is a good set of advice, I was thinking along the same lines actually.
