Mosport Quattro Challenge Pictures (S8)

Here is the first pic of me driving the S8 around the track (a nice controlled lean). For those of you who were there, I had this car drifting around the long right hand corner - 2 corners previous (It was amazing, just hit the gas and go!).

When I asked the instructor why I wasn't making the corners like the car in front of me did, he just said "you are going a lot faster than them". Well, when he said give it all it's got until I say let off the gas, I did (and maybe I was a little slow to release the gas... but man did that thing accellerate around the pylons in the wet).

Angela was not going to drive because she thought she would be too slow. He explained to her not to worry. Go her own pace. If you read my last post, she flew around the track! When she got out of the car she was grinning ear to ear and all she had to say was "this was just like Need for Speed".
She got all of her practice from months of playing Need for Speed with my Logitech Force Feedback steering wheel, gas/brakes. Pretty cool how that works out.

Apparently there are lots of S8's in North America. Look at the size of the disc brakes! They are huge! They definitely got used on the track.
This is my friend Steve who somehow managed to get invited to the event (he drives a 10 year old Audi, but is good friends with a local dealer).

Yeah, I was going to say - 2 here at the dealer in Salt Lake...
Saw a couple of them in Denver last week. Plus we had the Audi Press S8 loaner here in Utah almost 2 months ago.
