Exhaust Systems
I'm deciding between the Oettinger and Abt exhaust for my coupe. Clearly the Abt 4-pipe looks meaner and has slight performance advantage over the Oettinger but I haven't got a clue what they sound like... Anyone got any suggestions?

though I don't know foo about those two systems. The 4-pipes won't actually make for any advantage unless they are truly helping increase flow... it comes down to what you like aesthetically.
Basically, a good aftermarket exhaust will allow the engine to "exhale" more freely, resulting in smoother power delivery, slightly quicker turbo spool times, lower turbo temps, and a slight increase in HP and torque. A side benefit is also more/deeper exhaust notes.

I have the abt exhaust from stratmosphere...I have to admit it is amazing. At first glance the pipes that stick out a bit and slant outward, may not be for everyone, but I really like the edge it give the otherwise graceful car.
As for noise, it is virtually stock. There is a minor lower humm at idle, but during driving noise is barely louder or deeper than stock

There ya go. I don't know why this presumption of a 4 pipe vs. 2 performance advantage has reared..
...its head here. I have not seen a single design for one of these where I think exhaust pipes will help with flow. In fact, for the most part, I'm guessing they hurt flow by creating more turbulence and they're done purely for aesthetic reasons.
