Thrilling experience (bear with me, it was my first time!)
Beautiful morning. On a looong drive in northern NY, the I-87 Northway was practically deserted early in the morning... seen no troopers, the V1's quiet and I've not done much less than 90 mph since leaving CT... I decide I'm brave enough to give this a go. I've been nuts to see what real speed feels like.
No cars in sight. Long way until next exit. Alright now, get up the nerve.
Accelerator down. Speedo climbs... 110, 120, 130... rock solid handling, no wavering, totally sticking to the tarmac, around the bends, no uncertainty at all... I'm committed now.
I did it... 143 mph and I feel the engine stop receiving fuel... I coast a second and then I'm back up above 140 again... WOW this is amazing. I'm sure I'm addicted at this point.
Prudently (no comments) I let off the gas and coast down slowly to 120 or so, hold it and enjoy the blast of the surroundings flying by... the exhileration of 4 minutes of pure joy. Coast back to earth (aka 80 mph or so).
The 'afterglow'... legs a bit weak, tingling all over, blood rushing in my head... definitely up there with sex (again, no comments!).
Epilogue: Obviously my first really capable car. Probably a foolish thing to do but hey, I did it anyway. If I wasn't completely in love with this car before (and I was, obsessively) I'm hopeless now. Yeah, I know... lots of cars "go fast" but this is MY car!
))) When we bought the TT, on the test drive, the dealer said "damn you don't DRIVE like a girl!" LOL Hey, that's okay isn't it?
I just want to know how the h*ll to disable this speed limiter! <sigh> Life is good.
I wish the same for every one of you.
