OT..the ol' Ghana bank details scam...
LOLOL.... it's been around a while and surprisingly enough people have been gullible enough to give their details.. and lose their a**es.
"Dear Sir,
I have finally decided to make this contact on
behalf of myself and my colleague in the office,
My name is Mr Kofo Kwateng, a departmental manager
with a very reputable security and finance company a
subsidiary of a reputable bank in Ghana.
I need your assistance in a very viable and risk free
business that will be of mutual benefit to us, even
though we hardly know ourselves, I cannot help opening
up to you as this transaction requires very urgent
attention.
In May precisely on the 21st 1998, a Sierra Leonean
rebel soldier {one of the leaders} whose names I will
withold for security reasons deposited 2 {nos} tamper
proof crates with our security company which he
however declared as jewellries and valued artifacts on
our declaration questionaire form, but on our normal
routine inspection of the contents, in the presence of
the client and the above mentioned colleague, it was
discovered that both crates contained US dollars cash
which the owner then told us in confidence that the
total was 47 million US dollars and pleaded with us
not to reveal the contents to any other party, and
dashed me and my colleague 20,000 dollars { twenty
thhousand dollars} just to make sure the contents was
kept a secret, which we however kept as a secret till
date.
He made an adavance deposit for storage services
covering 6 months from the date of deposit, we did not
set our eyes on this fellow again, neither did he make
any contact with the company again even till date, at
the expiration of the the advance period, we sent him
a routine notification through the address he supplied
in the questionaire form but got no reply, we sent a
reminder after a month, still no response and after
the third notification still without a response, the
company decided to contact his embassy in Ghana,
without disclosing our intentions, for the security of
the goods, there we were officially informed that the
client died in an air raid just 2 months after making
the deposit.
On further investigations, we discovered that he died
without making a will, and all attempts by his embassy
to trace his family has been fruitless till date,
The 2 crates are still intact with the contents in our
company vaults, and I assure you that nobody will ever
come for them again,
According to the laws of Ghana regarding security
deposit houses, after 3 years of non payment of
storage fees, and no contact from the client, after
exhausting every other avenues, the contents of such
deposits, will revert to the ownership of the
Government of Ghana, such goods if they are in kind
will be auctioned after all legal processes are
completed, every indebtedness to the security company
will be offsetted, while the balance will be forfeited
to the Govt. purse
This is the situation now, so what I am now looking
for, is an overseas based person as the late depositor
had indicated in the form that goods will only be
recieved by him, or his overseas based partners.I now
need somebody who will stand in to recieve this crates
as his partner.
This is going to be a very easy task, as me and my
colleague are here to cover up any lapses.
We will contract the services of a trusted Lawyer here
to obtain all the neccassary documents and letters of
administration in your favour from the high court of
Ghana and also change the deed of tittle of the goods
to your name for a very smooth evacuation of the goods
from our company.
{WE CAN ALSO ARRANGE FOR THIS CRATES TO BE TRANSFERED
TO OUR OFFICE IN EUROPE FOR EVACUATION} though this
will require some extra expenses, but it is as good as
comming down here for the evacuation, there are 2
other options time will not permit me to mention here,
untill I hear from you.
We will also want you to decide what percentage of the
total amount you will like to have as your share for
all your troubles.
This transaction is 100% guaranteed as l am using
my position here to see to a very smooth transaction.
I will give you every other details as soon as I hear
from you, you can contact me via my phone no {233} 20-
814-0845 or my email address kofo982001@yahoo.com
Please observe utmost confidentiality and rest
assured that this transaction would be most
profitable for all of us.
One other thing is that time is not in our favour to
bit the Govt. dateline, hence we have to expedite
action.
Awaiting your position.
Sincere regards,
Kofo Kwateng."
