Default S4 Calipers

Has anyone tried installing 4 piston front S4 calipers on the 12.3" TT front brakes? If so, are there any additional parts required to make it work?

Default Is this an example of modding just to mod? Why, pray tell?

The TT already out stops just about everything on the road, supercars included.

My intuition says to find a way to help the TT brakes shed more heat and the brakes would be perfect.

Default Without seeming rude...if you want improved stoppin power...ditch the

P7000 tires.... get some S0-2 or S03s or some Zeros....also might be more cost effective to consider improved pads...try EBC or Pagid

Default You would need to have a bracket fabricated, plus . . .

you need to see if the thickness of the TT rotor is too much or too little for the S4 caliper. Just because it might "fit" does not mean it will work.

I would not waste time/money on the S4 mod. Those cars don't have great brakes either.

The TT might be able to outbrake a "super car" once or twice, but try it repeated from speed. The brakes will fade into oblivion and no pad or fluid will help. Been there, done that.

The brakes are not up to bringing the fat pig of a car we own to a stop or even slowing it down enough from a high speed. I am not talking even repeated stops from 100, but even repeated stops from 60 or 65.

Default I would say the brakes are pretty good....It's not like they suck or anything....

but you're right...I wouldn't bother trying to put them on the TT...I'm sure there are ways to make the OEMS better.

Default They are pretty good . . . for the street and not in a situation

where multiple stops are required. Then the brakes will fade to the point of not being able to stop in time for a turn.

I know this from having lost mine not only on the track but also on the street on several occasions.
