Right seat is rattling. Will AoA replace it? Please advise
In my case, they replaced the seat frame for the passenger seat.
Voila! No more rattle...
(Don't forget. with the Audi Advantage, your warranty covers everything, from being out of windshield washer fluid to a seat rattle to the transmission falling out of the car...)
you want some amount of flex if someone is sitting in the seat, but when the seat is empty, you don't. how to solve both problems?
I don't know. in other cars, you'll see the same issue to one degree or another.
solution #1: carry a passenger. usually not a bad idea, but not always practical.
solution #2: ignore it. it's not that much of a problem, unless there's actually something wrong with the seat that makes it rattle excessively.
solution #3: drive only on smooth roads. vibration and rattling will be worse on bumpy streets. may not be much you can do about that, though!
solution #4: buy some other car. the seats will probably vibrate in that one, too :-(
good luck...

1. They'll say that they were unable to recreate the rattle, and give the car back to you with the problem unresolved.
2. You'll bring it back at a later date, and they'll once again say that they were unable to recreate the rattle, and give the car back to you with the problem unresolved.
3. You'll bring it in a 3rd time, and they'll say that they had the technician look at it, and lubricate something or other. They'll give the car back to you with the problem still unresolved.
4. Now very frustrated, you'll complain that the rattle is not being addressed. They'll say that the technician tightened up some kind of assembly. Then, they'll give the car back to you with the problem still unresolved.
5. Furious, you take the car in again at a much later date, and demand a new seat. They'll say that they were unable to recreate the rattle, and give the car back to you with the problem unresolved.
6. Finally, you'll throw up your arms in frustration, having been successfully worn down, and learn to live with the rattle.
