Octane boost anyone?

Just curious what the forum's thoughts are on those $7 bottles of STP (or whatever) octane boost purchasable at your local WalMart. Good, bad, or indifferent? Is it worth the extra $7+ per tank of gas? Is the difference in performance that noticeable?

Go buy a gallon of 100 octane at a race store around $5.50 gallon

I put 3 gal of 110 race gas in last weekend... wow what a difference.... very smooth...

I hate you guys on the east coast that can buy 94+ octane.... CA gas is the ****s!!!

Works both ways.. :P

But once I do put it in my tank, I feel like it advances the timing a bit, and smoothens out the entire rpm. We have good 94octane gas up here in Canada, I use about 15% mixture of toluene, boosts it up to 97/98. This is just from personal experience, can't say more
