OT: Anyone been to/going to Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance???

I had an offer for "press passes" (some kinda all access pass, I don't really know the details) from Christie's for this weekend's events. A friend of the family is in fine arts curation and appraisal , and does a lot of work for them and is always getting freebies. Declined, but took a rain-check for next year... Is this worth attending, even if you can't afford to bid on anything???

I imagine some of the cars there are pretty incredible...

Yes, it's worth it. The whole weekend is amazing!

Especially if you can get in before the Concours officially opens. The crowds are pretty huge.

At the concours itself, I don't believe you can bid on anything anyway - that's the auction that usually goes along with the Historics weekend. There is some great automotive art to buy, though.

The Historics, the Concorso Italiano, the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance... It's three days packed to the gills with some of the coolest car stuff anywhere. I highly recommend that everyone do it at least once. It's even better if you're driving a really cool car when you're there.
