Default Washing and drying . . .

I just traded my 180 FWD for a 225Q. Wow!! What a difference!! My new one is raven black. What is the best rag/sponge to wash my new baby without swirling it or scratching it, and what is the best way to dry it??? Is a good chamois the best way, or does anyone have any experience with the "water blade?" My worry is that it will scratch my finish. Any input will be greatly appreciated!!

Default I use my electric leaf blower for drying...

Raised much hilarity with the neighbours, but a couple have started using the same method to dry their cars.

Default 100% cotton bath towels to wash...

same for polishing. I use the CA water blade to get the majority of the water off, then use the P21S drying towel to get the rest. Absorbs better then cotton ever could... the combination of these two items is unbeatable in my opinion.

Default Crank and Chrome guys (Shadetree Mechanic) now recommend 2 wash mitts/2 buckets.<more>

Caught an episode about 2 weekends ago. Never heard of the show, but its the 2 guys from Shadetree Mechanic. Seemed a little too happy to be pushing name-brand product throughout the show. But they did recommend using 2 buckets/2mitts to wash. Mitts are easier to get off any dirt. Sponges can hide it in the nooks and crannys. Use one bucket on lower half of car and one for upper.

I'd go with a Water Sprite Plus (synthetic chamois) for drying. Not sure what the C&C guys said, I think Water Blade.

Btw, the episode is available on their site, Crank and Chrome. And the girl at the end of the video (beginning too?) is hot.

Crank and Chrome
