Default The quest for better handling (spring suggestions)

Hey all...

Anybody have reccomendations for springs. I have a 225 coupe Q. I have been looking at H&R, Eibach, and ABT. Abt is rediculously priced, in fact almost double. Suggestions? Good reliable sources?

Thanks!

-Chad

Default JimTT gave such a raving review to the Eibach Pro-Kit springs yesterday..

....that it is a lock for me. I'm going to do the Eibach springs and the rear sway bar.

How do they differ from H&R? I can't remember, do you have Bilsteins too?

I have Bilsteins and I can't answer your other question as much as I'd like to.

Default Get the Eibachs and turn your TT into an "S Line".....

Eibach is the manufacturer that Audi uses from the Le mans winning R8R to what gets installed and warrantied on road going models by the dealer. H&R's are stiffer and will give you 4 degrees of neg camber in back which will chew the inner thread of the rear tires unless you slot the rear arms, install rose joints, or one of Terry Griffin's rear adjustability kits. The Eibachs will give you approximately 2 degrees negative camber which will enhance your lateral grip and not chew your tires. Eibachs are 20% (approx) stiffer than stock springs and are designed to run with the stock shocks. The extra stiffness of the H&R's will blow the stock Monroes a lot faster than normal. Normal wear for some here have been a sad 6K miles. H&R also makes the Neuspeed springs which are the largest drop kits. The rear drop on the TT with H&R is too extreme IMHO and going to low will cause the rear coils to bind and grind in some cases, hence the loss of red paint on the rear coils.
