Superbly, but you will need a set of winter tires even with quattro.

Woo Hoo! QuaTTro and snow tires rock in the white stuff!

With or without ESP, but ESP adds a nice safety margin.

If youre from Boston, you've undoubtedly had some fun in the snow (along with a few moments of fear

but when there's an empty parking lot, the TT is a great toy without ESP. Beyond that, I took mine through Minn last T'giving, and it was unflappable in high winds, snow and ice. I would not have tried some of the roads (or have driven very sloooowly) in a FWD or RWD car. The TT (and, I suspect, other AWD cars) cruised through. HTH. Cheers!

I drove mine through about 1 foot of snow a few times on all season tires.

You WILL need to replace the stock tires before getting into the snow. If it snows before you have your tires replaced, just park the car and wait till all the snow is gone before you even think about getting out on the road...Even with quattro. If you have at least all-season tires, you should do just fine as long as you stay on the road.
