My dealer told me that you cannot install an OEM Nav system if it wasn't installed when the....

car was first built at the factory. In other words, the nav system can only be installed at the time of car assembly. Is this correct? If so, damn!!!!!!!

Yes, as far as I know that is true. Don't be too disappointed. You can find alternatives.

I believe this is true... though as duffer said, there are very good aftermarket systems.

If you didn't buy it with the car, there's better aftermarket systems that cost less.

it's not true!!!

instrument cluster needs to be re-coded, wiring needs to be installed incl. trunk antenna (GPS), hardware etc. the switch will be installed in the center console (pretty easy modification) and the system needs to be adapted for the TT (it's about 1/2 h work if you know what you do (adaption only!).

by the time you add all the costs up, you better off with aftermarket navi!
