Quasi-OT: Why people key cars...
There is an article in my local paper, the Louisville (Colorado) Times, entitled "Council Candidate Charged with Felony."
Basically this woman running for a city council seat was at the local golf course, walked by a 1994 Lotus S4, and decided to key it, then looked around, and keyed it a second time.
Her defense is "I've seen so much suffering in the world, I couldn't take it anymore." So she keys a sports car while going to play golf?!?!
BTW, her first answer when Police accused her of the crime was "you'll never make it stick." Now she's admitted it, but just happens to be going to dinner with the city Police chief later this week...
Scary stuff. Estimated $5K - $10K damage to the Lotus; she must have keyed it <b>really</b> badly...

Coming from my industry, I think it has less to do with arrogance than it does with
fanaticism...notice, she was out enjoying a golf outing, but her skewed sense of what is right and wrong took over...fanatics always eff up.

Fancy cars and all the trappings are generally accepted as part of the "scene" This is more Hypocritical arrogance. She's spending what? $100-150 for a day on the links and she's morally offended by a nice car because there's so much hunger in the world? There's something really wrong with this picture (woman)......

See, my point exactly. It's called the ability to compartmentalize issues. Go figure.
Oh, and to make matters worse, she was probably the guest of someone, not paying a cent to play...LOL. Deal with this mentality every, single day.
