Whilst I don't have the manual--all xenons created equal?
When I took my 2001 225 coupe (not sure if this matters) in for its 5000 mile service about a month ago, I complained that the xenon headlamps seemed to be aiming too low. And actually frighteningly low when going downhill with a sharp visibility drop off at about 50'.
He's asked if I had "L-tronic" or something and I said, "beats me. Is that the self-leveling thing?" He says yes.
Get the car back and I ask if my lights are self-leveling. He says no. Me surprised.
Aren't all xenon headlamps self-leveling? Did they do a change over the short time its been out? I got the Premium package at time of purchase and the car was built 3/01.

Who was it that told me that LLtek's service sucked ? I have not gotten $hit about the Xenons yet !!
