accepting TT complements

This weekend I was in Vegas and saw a few TT's. It was nice and made me remenisce of my own back home. However, one TT owner really ticked me off. I was admiring his black roadster at the vallet pick up with my friends standing behind me. When the owner came to his car, I said, "Nice car, I got one just like it!" He actually ignored me. Am I overly sensative?? I would have at least said thanks. (heaven knows I do so every time I drive through the "hood" or pull into any gas station).

I think we should recognize that we have very nicely designed cars and accept compliments graciously.

Just because someone's in a TT, doesn't mean that they have TT in them.

Some just don't have the passion ..my experiences so far ..

I had a coupe drive up next to me a few weeks back -- he actually ignored me when I tried to get his attention - didn't know a neck could twist that far - a guy in a corvette give me the 'thumbs up' but couldn't tell if it was for the car or if he was looking at my gorgeous niece sitting next to me .. but, last night I took a chance of being 'dissed' again, and chased a identical roadster down into the Bruggers parking lot .. he is in love with his car just like us .. gave him the info on the forum - maybe he will join ? I can't get over this dumb idea that the TT-ers share a connection with their cars ..

that's sure the truth....

Since getting our TT in late May, I've only seen ONE TT owner who waved at us. There are two in my immediate vicinity (amulett roadster, denim coupe) who have repeatedly ignored my waves/light flashes.

I don't understand it, but indeed a LOT of people, even TT owners, look at their cars as just transportation. <gasp> Vaper is dead on with his comment.

Me, I'm deep in a love affair with my TT (I'd say don't tell my husband but I think he suspects - LOL) and can't figure out how anyone could even look at one, much less DRIVE one, without falling head over heels. Nonetheless, the car does get a lot of looks.

And people think WE'RE strange!
