Mods Success at 5am in the morning

Well thanks to the help of Jason Chen and his friend Denny (a 1.8t Golf owner) we are able to put my eibach springs and bilstein hd struts on. I am just getting back from breakfast with Jason and Denny and am dead tired.

As predicted it took 8+ hours. If I had to do it again it would take 1/2 that time i figure. Fronts were 7 of the 8 hours. What a PITA.

A special thanks goes to DennyTT for providing those diagrams from the bentley CD, Marcus and Jim for their install notes and Audi's engineers for making the front strut install a huge challenge.

More thoughts after I wake up, but it was fun in the end and from the looks of it, definitely worth the effort.

i've got bilsteins shocks now and am contemplating getting the eibach springs.

hey -- if you run into any problems, ocTTober and i can drive up from md...

and if it's really hard, maybe michael and ellen could pop up from va, or larry could head south from northern nj.
