TT and "Rockhounding" ???

I just finished my first week of the new school year with 25 very avtive second graders, PHEW! My partner, David, and I are heading up Hwy 26 (this afternoon to the Madras, Oregon area to go rockhounding on the Richardson Recreation Complex. Anybody here been there in their TT??? Are the roads too rough???Can we take the TT or need we take the Urban Assault Vehicle???

I've been to Madras, but only to go climbing at Smith Rock. If you have the time go and look!

Smith Rock state park is only about 5 minutes from the main hwy going through Terrebonne, just about a half hour south of Madras. Very beautiful rock formations.
I'm headed that way after TTWest.
