Default Anyone ever deal with Pray Body Shop - Stamford, CT??

they've had my '97 A8 for almost 5 weeks, and have been promising me the car is almost ready for the past 2 1/2 of those weeks......I know that there is a lot of stuff that needs to be done, and I was prepared to wait 2 months for the repair, so it's not the time frame that is bothering me, it's the fact that they keep promising me the car.......I only call them when they tell me to, and am trying really hard to be super cool with them, since they have me by the short and curlies, but if this keeps up, I don't know what else to do......anyone have any advice or experience with them??

Default Confused. Pray sold out to New Country and they don't have a body shop.

Oh, wait a minute, are you talking about that place down in Shippan on the corner after going under the train bridge? If so, don't know a thing about them.

If it were my car, I'd make a little surprise appearance to check out what's going on with it. At this point, you probably need to be a little more proactive....or better yet, get a TT and join our local group for some fun. (sorry, for your troubles, couldn't resist.)

Default I did, 2-2.5 years ago. They fixed my Nissan Pathfinder after

an accident. Denny is partly right. It was and is still owned by Pray. Pray did not sell or could not sell this part of his business to New Country. My conv with New Country guys have revealed to me that he sold partly because his lease on the Greenwich real estate was over and for some reason the landlords did not want to deal with him.
Anyway, back to the point. Pray in Stamford did a decent job with the SUV. They did take a couple of days longer than they promised but overall it was OK. I can not say that they were great because after the fixes during which they changed both doors on Drivers side, they could never get the allignment of the driver door correct (May be it compressed B Pillar that they could not fix). So I had problems with interior lights lighting up because the door did not press the switch on the B pillar properly. Otherwise the paint job and acquiring of parts was never an issue. In total I think it took about 7 days for the to fix everything.
Hope this helps.

Default Next time use Coach Auto Body in North Haven

I have used them for years. They are meticulous , and detail oriented. And I usually get my cars back in 1-2 weeks.

Just a thought.
