Colin Powell is fantastic, the speechwriter was fantastic and Bush scored a

7.5....but, I'll give the Prez a 9.5 based on past performance and proven limitations. He did great.

Recognize a Colin Powell strategy when you see one....this was directly out of that superb gentleman's great mind and finely crafted book of plays.

They also brought in the good speechwriter for this important address.

Almost perfect tenor.

He was great. His constant detractors are mostly clueless...

They still can't get over the fact that their candidate didn't win the election, so they've got to attack the guy and try to tear him down at every turn, even though the basis for many of the attacks is likely completely inaccurate.

Now is certainly not the time for criticism, and if this was President Gore speaking, I wouldn't be knocking him under these circumstances.
