Default H&R wheel spacers!

Installed the 25mm rear wheel spacers last night. Sorry no pics thus far, but take my word for it the car looks much better, and seems to handle better as well. Now I'm thinking it would look even better with the fronts spacers. Has anyone done the fronts, and which size did you use? Available sizes are 5mm, 8mm, 15mm, and 25mm. I think 25 would be too much for the front...maybe 15mm? If anyone's installed them on the fronts, let me know what you think...pics would be great too. I'm assuming an alignment would be necessary after doing the fronts...

Thanks and have a good weekend!

Default Depends which size you get...

The 25mm spacer actually bolts to the OEM hub with supplied bolts, and then the wheel bolts onto the spacer using the OEM wheel bolts. The parts appear to be very well made, lightweight, and fit perfectly.

The other spacers (5mm, 8mm, 15mm) fit over the oem hub and use longer wheel bolts.

Default Here's the link...

...they were backordered at the time I ordered them. Placed order 9/9, received them 9/20. The cost for both sides 25mm is $120 (H&R part number HR5025571)...in the description, it says 'longer bolts sold separately', but this is a mis-print since you don't need longer bolts with these spacers.

Options Auto Salon: H&R Audi wheel spacers

Are the studs on the spacer 14mm and the lug nuts "ball seat"? Safety issues?

Default Were concerns of mine as well...

...and of course, safety is always a concern. The supplied bolts to attach the spacer to the hub are ball-seat, and are the same length as the OEM wheel studs. As I said previously, the parts _appear_ to be very high quality and everything lined up and fit perfectly. I probably wouldn't be too comfortable driving the car hard in a track situation on a regular basis, but for normal street use, my impression is that safety will not be siginificantly compromised. I plan to re-torque the spacer bolts each time I rotate the tires.

Default Thanks. I reviewed the info at the web site. It looks pretty good, but...

which type did you use? They have a hubcentric lip and are 14mm which were my biggest safety concerns. So, the spacers you are using are threaded for ball seat bolts from wheel to spacer or do the spacers have seated 14mm studs that need ball seat lug nuts to attach the wheel to the spacer? TIA. My friend wants to do this to the back of his TT and use the stock wheels/tires. I have 20mm offset 8x10 AEZ's in back. It'd be nice to get a more economic way to attain the handling characteristics of the staggered setup w/out buying wheels/tires. Thanks for any data.
