I find it ironic when ...

the media shows Pakistanis who favor the Taliban preaching in the English language how much they hate Westerners.

this is totally OT, but the sad thing is...

...I don't think the Taliban have a clear understanding of what they are facing, and many more innocent people will die over there because of their ignorance. Their leadership is probably thinking 'hey, we stood up to the soviets and won', but I think it's safe to say the soviets were much less motivated and FAR less equipped to do the job.
