Default Dust

Any other roadster owners bothered by all the white flecks/dust that accumulate on the dash with the top down? I tried using a dash-duster but the white fleks are very tenacious and just stay there.
Any tips would be very much appreciated.

Default OcTTober would probably recommend a belt sander and would recommend

a power washer.....actually he has used a power washer I think for the inside of the windshield so I am sure he would have no problem with doing the dash as well. Maybe I should pick the trusty Sawz-All just to be safe =)

anyway, are you talking about when you leave the top down all day while parked or are you talking about just from driving?

Are you a smoker? While I admit that I smoke in my car, but it is only with the top down (never with the top up) and the side effect is that ashes sometimes get blown around.

I cant imagine that if you do not smoke and do not leave the top down all day, that you would have a problem

My routine for cleaning?

-Wash Car
-Caifornia Water Blade the entire car
-Use clean towel to get the areas that are missed by the blade
-Wipe down door, trunk and hood jambs with the same towel.
-Use towel to wipe down dash, interior etc...

That keeps it pretty clean

Default Yeah, what hoTTub said.

The only time my top is up is when I'm washing the car. I've noticed very light dust particles on my dash from driving or parking all day. I just towel off the dash top with the towel dampened from drying the car after the car wash. I have to add that I have dust on every black surface. It's all over the back of the cabin collecting behind the headrests and forward of the windscreen.

Now that the question has been raised... I wonder if anyone has noticed a difference in dust accumulation between driving with the windscreen up and driving with it down?

I quit smoking 16 years ago so it's not cigarette ashes.
I never leave the top down when I park it, so the dust that accumulates is from driving around with the top down, an hour at the most.
I admit to be overly fastidiious about keeping my TT looking like it just came off the showroom floor, which it did three weeks ago. What's a dust problem to me might be inconsequential to others.
Oh well........
