.... all i need is like 7 more hp
i know little to nothing about this.
except i'd like about 7 more hp and as cheap
as possible. i dropped in k&n panel filter, and i'd been looking at either neuspeed high flow intake pipe, or forge DV. with either of these
give me what i need? do i need other devices to make them work?
A neuspeed intake probably won't give you more than 5hp, but at $200 its not a bad deal (plus no install costs). Btw, aftermarket DVs such as Forge and Bailey, claim to increase HP by supplying superior flow. valid or not, its the best $150 you'll spend on your TT.
bite the bullet, get a chip. IMHO, MTM is the best bet. don't be fooled by APR's HP claims. in my understanding, MTM is the only company with Audi-authorized access to all of the ECU's factory codes. Audi sells MTM-chipped cars in europe.

& other vehicles tuned. me and my friends have tuned and raced alot of motorcycles though i'm totally new to 4 wheel sport.
my gsxr did only weigh 360lbs, but i took it from 123 to 132 bhp, and my 600 from 105 to 111, tinkering with exhaust, mapping. so got feel for *some* of it possibly.
IMHO i'm guessing given its weight, and feel of the of the car, if the tt had another 7-10 hp, it'd have the just barely noticeable edge i need. since friends i've talked to say you need at least 7-10 hp to make difference with car, vs. you only need 2-3 maybe 4 with a motorcycle.
i mean i don't need a rocket and like the man said, i want to stay as "un-introsive" as poss. until the warranty runs out.
maybe i'm way off in whole thing. but i am just
starting.
Bringing Audi to Life for Audi Fans
If you really want to go faster, bite the bullet, spend the bucks for one of the good chips. That's probably the most actual bang for the buck. Add an name-brand exhaust, and you might get a few more ponies, but you'll feel lots faster.
You were joshing us on the 7 hp, right?
