ok opinions wanted

rather than going through the difficulty of finding silicone hoses and reinstalling the intake as seen in the first picture. Can anyone give me the possible perf, warranty or any other not to keep it as seen in the second picture? BTW on the second picture the MAF does have a male end the enters the BMC box by about an inch. But the sensor itself is about 3 inches away from the opening.

Please don't think I am trashing this product, butt dyno has shown satisfactory improvement in perf, but needs a complete kit to be up to par with how I want my car to look inside and out.

You'll find underhood temps approaching 200 degrees in the area of the intake. Black carbon fiber is not evactly heat relective! Even though you're sucking coolish air, temps will rise as it flows though the intake. Do a velcro blanket thing so you can take it off when you want the "look". I'm thinking of working up some road recipes for my "TV dinner" tray approach. There's a whole subculture of weirdos who cook on their manifolds while traveling!! LOL

Not a bad idea...Where did you get your stuff?

The box does get hot after running for a while.
