Got up at 5:30 a.m. (CST) at the Marriott in New Orleans ... caught the 6:10 a.m. shuttle to New Orleans Airport (MSY) ... expected a long line for baggage check-in at Southwest - not one person in line! Compared to LAX, where I waited for an hour at 4:45 a.m. on Tuesday!

Caught my 9 a.m. flight to LAX - arrived at 11:45 (PST) - went straight to the office to take care of some stuff. Got a cab ride home.

Get to my complex drop my stuff, get the mail, and go to my TT to start it - NOTHING. Semi-dead battery! I was gone for 56 hours and the freakin' thing is half dead.

2:50 p.m. (PST) - Called Audi Roadside Asst. and the lady says it will take AAA 75 minutes to get to my apt. Say What?!?!? That just didn't sound right.

So I called AAA on my own - since I also have AAA Plus. They tell me it will take only 30 minutes. Ahh, much better. When I mentioned what Audi Roadside told me, the rep said that the VW/Audi requests goes thru a central system and it gets processed to the local roadside asst. service company - thus the extra 30-45 minutes. I guess I'm not using Audi Roadside Asst. anymore.

At 4 p.m., I finally got to my errands - post office, ATM, car wash, "Z".

Finally finished Z'ing the car at 6 p.m. (PST). I'm pooped. Hot shower, packing for TT-West, a quick run to Vons for some H2O, and nappy nap time for me.

It's been a long day ... but wait, I get to drive 8.5 hours tomorrow to TT-West!

 

After all that - more travel.. it'll be worth it!
