Default My understanding on 5 spoke wheels and the luxury package on the MY 2002 cars...

Per my sales dude at Clair:

5 spoke wheels are a stand-alone option, starting in the 2002MY, they will be approx. $500, if the car comes from the factory with them. I do not know how much they run as an option from the dealer, but I would guess CONSIDERABLY more. The luxury package (xenons and heated seats, only) will be around $1,050 (used to be $1,500).

The reason they separated the wheels is that you can also order the wheels shown on the "S-Line" vehicle (very nice 18"ers), in conjunction with the luxury package (don't know the cost). My dealer believes that most cars will come with the luxury package and one of these two wheel options. If the luxury package is paired with the 5-spokes, the price is approx. the same as ($50 or ~3% more) than the MY2001 luxury package, which included the 5-spokes...

All of this applies to the 225 model only, I did not inquire about the other...

Does this make sense????

So, what would be my next move? I got on the phone with audi and then got a new # for customer relations. They however, are in a 'meeting' and their answering machine hangs up on you. That's cheap. I just got my TT last night. I don't want to start hating the company right away, but their pushing all the right buttons so far....

It's OK to start hating them right-away. It prepares you for the possible future ;-).

Default Sounds like you weren't informed of your options when you ordered...

probably because your sales guy wasn't informed either (no surprise.) You should see what your dealer will do for you since you just got the car-- though I would have whined pretty loudly at delivery if the car wasn't spec'd as expected.

FWIW, my dealer informed me of exactly what I'd be getting on my 2001 with each package... so there may be a communication breakdown there someplace on your dealer's part. (again no surprise.)

Default Unfortunately, they have those buttons programmed on speed dial + loaded in their PDAs.

The car is superb but the service and customer relations is often abysmal.

Default I just saw your post below...

Sorry, I didn't have a chance to read it before writing the above...

My advice:

Call another dealer(s) and say that you are interested in buying a 2002 and you want to know what the deal is with wheel options on these cars. I would only be upset if your dealer actually misrepresented anything... Again, the above is ONLY what my dealer told me in a casual conversation, it's possible that he's mistaken. None of this is verified by Audi, as their website still specs 2001 cars (atleast, the last time I checked).

Only, if it turns out that your dealer was not forthright in representation of the product, would I take the concern to AoA.

Just my $.02, best of luck!

Default I got my dealer on the phone for me.

He admitted to me that he was mis informed and he's going to get to the bottom of this.

Default That is because...

my dealer wasn't informed. If he was, then he would have brought up the fact that there are different wheels for the car....also, there is no info out on the web about it either. it's all 2001 stuff.

Default Not much you can do. If rTTexas is correct.

It's not the dealers fault you didn't get every option you want. If an when I order a car I always research the options. From your thread below you didn't do any research. You should have known the differences between 2001 and 2002 before you ordered the car. Walked in and told the dealer exactly every option you wanted.
