Default First 1K miles, impression

Today was a gorgeous day in southern BC so I took the day off and went for a drive. Vancouver, Hope, Boston bar, Cache Creek, Lillooet, Pemberton, Whistler, Vancouver. About 800 kilometers in about 8 hours across mostly mountain roads ranging from highway to small winding roads with single lane bridges and such. This was my first really long drive and it was probably the most exhilarating drive I've ever done. So far this car has been an absolute joy. It's fun enough to drive during the daily commute but it isn't until you go out onto the open road when it's true character comes out. Nothing like that one straight stretch where you can gun it and zip past the minivan you've been looking at for the last 10 minutes. Or going up a steep mountain leaving all other vehicles wondering what that blur was that just passed them.
I've had this car for about 3 weeks now, clocked about 1500 kilometers and it has been fantastic so far. The handling is amazing and there is always ample engine power available for any situation. Oh and I even like the Bose amp and speakers. I think it really makes CDs sound the way they really do. Some CDs I have sound amazing, others sound like crap. I think that's the way they have been recorded.
Anyway, I took a bunch of pictures. I'm still analog so once they've been developed I'll post the ones that are any good.

Oh and I had two people come up to me telling me they liked my car. That never happened with the RAV4 :-)

"winding mountain road ahead. Pass with care"

Life is sweeTT...

That is a great area for a TT, you'll have to take it over to Victoria.

Very nicely written. I also have a green 225QR but here in suburban New York City (Long Island), the scenery isn't quite as nice. There are some lovely areas here but where you are sounds just splendid!
Every morning, when I go out to my garage and see my TT, I smile. I love this car!
Good luck with yours.

Excellent! I think I'll go wash mine and go for a drive. Agree about the BOSE system too.
