Wheels for 2002 TT - Called my dealer

I have been reading the recent posts about the change in wheels for the 2002 TT. I got on the phone and called my dealer to inquire about my TT. He assured me that my TT would have the 5 spoke wheels. He seemed surprised when I mentioned about the change in the CD player. Only bad news to report is that the car is just now being built. I ordered Green/Green/Baseball TTR w/ Audio, Premium package. Will be at least another month at best.

If he didn't know about the radio, chances are he's clueless on the wheels too...

Looks like they've become a separate $500 option.......>>

over and above the old premium package. decontenting and then selling as a standalone option is a fancy way of raising prices with out appearing to do so... Pretty standard in the car Biz.

He seemed to know about the wheels but was surprised about the CD. He said he would send me a new 2002 brochure.

I mentioned that the option had been pulled off the premium list and was made a separate option but also they reduced the price. So adding it back was a even wash in the price. He didn't balk...we'll see when I pick up the car. I'm sure he already knew it but I wanted him to make sure he knows that I know it too. There shouldn't be any talk about price increase when I pick up the car.
