I tried the pillar post deal but didn't like the finished look. Ended up makeing my own mount that also held my shift light. This is what I ended up with but still always looking for ideas.

As far as the mount goes, I got about 10 hrs. of machine time and like $40.00 in material. Haven't really thought about making anymore.
