Roadster Rattles

Been driving with the top down all summer and loving it. Today it got cold (and I had a cold) so I put the top up and noticed rattles I hadn't heard before and wondered if this was a usual thing for a roadster with about 14,000 miles. It's more of a rubbing squeeky thing than a straight rattle and it seems to be mainly coming from behind or beside the passenger seat headrest. I haven't done a real test to see if I could figure out on my own what was causing it, but I thought I'd try the forum first for the collective wisdom.

On another note, I think my sister is in a very rarified league - she now has a silver TT coupe (one of the first out) and is now buying an Aviator Grey, baseball leather roadster as well. Now we've just got to get my brother to swap in his A4 and we'll be an all TT family.

It's the top strut members. Use some silicon, or WD-40 on the pivot points/joints

Yea, it's at all the spots where the top strut pieces come together....like here

The hinge points, and the pieces that have rivets through them.

You can get at them, with the top down easily.
Also, as the top is coming up, in various stages.

Thanks for the advice, but...

I had it out again today, and this time with the top down listened carefully (with the CD player off for a change) and the rattles were still there. I pulled on the passenger door and I it seemed to make a bit of the rattle, so it could be the latch needs tightening or something. Does this make sense?
