I want something like a 4 point harness that can bolt onto the current seat bolts, but does NOT need the shoulder bar. I saw a real slick setup today on the International Drive and he has "rally harnesses" installed. What is involved? Cost?

Default I think Schroth has a "reel" type........>>>

harness that mounts to one point (rear seat top pin) and can be locked or unlocked depending on usage. I've been trying to relocate that info with no success. If it's not Schroth, it's Deist(?) or one of the majors. Looked like a neat setup as no harness bar is needed. Go to the stable energies site for Larry's install. Do a search here and you'll get a bunch of stuff

Default We are not using the Bar because it looks cool.....

The bar is needed because the you need to maintain a certain angle from the shoulders to the mount points for the rear belts. The only bar I can think of that would allow you not to use a bar is a 3 point harness that could hook to the rear seat pins. The rear seat belt mounts are too steep of an angle and would put you at risk of a neck/head injury in an accident. I had Schroth 4 point Rallye harnesses in my A4, and now they sit unloved, but I was not going to risk my neck and use them in the TT. The Harness bar from stable energies is a tight fit, but I think it stiffened the Chassis and it sits behind the folded seats nicely.
