Default How Fast is the TT?

What can it beat with a Chip, Exhaust, intake & filter?

I know that its not a drag car, but what should it be able to beat?

What can you beat with the 225hp or the 180hp with those mods?

I haven't gotten a TT, yet, but I am getting one in Feb. I just want to know what I should expect. hehehe

I beat a Jeep this morning, really funny, he was actually trying very hard to win.

Default You can beat almost anything in the twisties (w/out mods)...

and w/ Quattro. Of course, there are exceptions, but the car is made for aggressive driving on windy roads. Practically no car even attempts to keep up with me on the windiet roads - including Boxters and every Bimmer so far.

Straight line acceleration is another thing. W/out mods, you can have trouble with quite a few cars, however, if you know how to drive it aggressively - you will hold your own (just don't try to race an S4).

A 225QC w/ good tires and a skilled driver will almost never see the back of another car in the twisties.

Thats the thing, I Love windy roads and to me are more fun than trying to race someone at a stoplight.

But, I know when I get this car, I will have some losers trying to race me. I guess I just wanted to know where I stand.

I especially hate the Riceboys, but who doesn't. :P

Are their any Rice Cars that will give me problems like the Prelude, Integra Type R, or Accord V6 on the stop lights? Will both the 225 and the 180 be able to take them with the mods or just the 225?

Default I think that depends a lot on whether the ricers you're going to face have..

....lot's of simulated speed-enhancing mods or actual speed-enhancing mods.

I used to drive a Wrangler; you drive it like a TT and you will end up wheels up...

Default there are plenty of cars out there that can handle way better than the TT

sorry - its just reality
especially with a NA car - you don't have to worry about spool up in every corner like you do with the TT
the TT handles great - but if you think that it outhandles a Boxster stock...

Default twisties.....

I was having a little fun driving Rt 73 in upstate NY (from Keene to I-87); VERY mountainous roads, extremely twisty and loads of fun... also very empty this particular morning. Not too far into the drive a car (that I thought on quick glance was an Eclipse) began to ride a little close to my bumper. I laughed, thinking this little peon was 'challenging' my Baby. We 'applied a bit' of accelerator and disappeared. He tried valiantly to keep up but I totally lost him, even out of sight. He returned to my bumper finally as I had slowed on the straight approach to I-87... which is when I saw it wasn't an Eclipse but one of those Mitsubishi branded Dodge-Stealth models (can't remember the model name, it's a number... S6000 or something similar). I figured he must have had a good deal of horsepower, but nothing beat the quattro and superlative handling of my TT. Made my day!

Default My brother has a Type R....

Off the line I get a car length jump on him because of AWD, he will just sit there for a sec or two spinning his front wheels. But as soon has his tires grip he'll be right there behind me. He wont be able to pass but the cars are pretty close. As for speeds 70+ the TT has more torque and will start to pull away.

As for the twisties... In the wet there is no competition, but in good dry weather the Type R grips as well if not better than my 225, and the Type R comes stock with V rated tires, with a set of Zs the car has got to be on rails.
