Ooooooh, a burr grinder!!! You've been added to my "must visit" list...
I got a La Pavoni one, but it's not so great, the finest setting isn't quite powdery enough for espresso grind, but it'll do... I'm still thinking about buying the stuff to raost my own beans, just haven't gotten around to it, yet.... another perpetual project... :-)

Brad W. got me hooked on home roasting about a year ago... haven't looked back since! It also helps that I have a local supplier of green coffee beans.
This is the Hearthware Precision - got it from Coffee Bean Corral for $115... again, as per Brad W.

But if you are serious about home roasting, I would recommend the Alpenrost Roaster when it becomes available. This is the one for me....

I'll probably go with the same model you have and wait a sudden, unexpected windfall before thinkin' seriously about a drum roaster... Part of the reason I haven't felt compelled is that the place I but coffee from roasts 3x a week and I usually just buy enough for a week at a time, it's pretty friggin' good and the cost is not exhorbitant... (and I'm the consummate procrastinator)... ;-)
