Wierd electrical quirks?

Just took delivery of my 01 TTQC yesterday and am noticing little electrical quirks. Ex. I put the key, start the car, lock the doors with the console lock button, drive for a while, turn the engine off and take the key out of the ignition and now the unlock console button won't unlock the doors. I can still pull the door handle twice to open the doors, but shouldn't the unlock button on the console work in this (or any) situation?

BTW, don't get me wrong... I'm not complaining, it's just that the TT is so wonderful a ride that the little things stand out more than in other cars where you would expect them.

You are not alone. We here refer to this particular bug as the "Lock Light Bug". more...

There are a few more permuations to the bug, but I think that all of the symptoms relate to one central cause. I'm taking our TTR in for service Thursday to have oil and DV changed and have them attempt to fix this Lock Light bug. Hopefully I'll have something useful to report by the end of the week.
