I have been using the 6000K lamp for 6 months

don't be fooled by the gimmick. The color temperature has nothing to do with the ballast. Mine is just a direct replacement on the TT.

Me Too! But My 6000K Xenon only cost 2200HKD! (which is 300USD Only!)

Take a look at the picture in the background.... should be warning enough!! ;)

On top of that, I'd be very wary of anyone touting that a 6000K bulb gives off a purple light..... 6K is a white light with a spectral peak in the blue-green portion of the spectrum. The "purple" that these guys are so fond of it UV light that is a product of all HID lighting.... not good for the light lenses, and whatever else is illuminated.....

Good point.

Also, yeah. 6K is waay toward UV. Umm. We can't see into ultraviolet. And, while daylight is around 4.5K, humans actually seem to see with more clarity at lower colour (Kelvin) temperatures.
