Advice courteously requested from West Coasties. Driving Bay Area to Phoenix - favorite routes???

I have to visit the outlaws (wife's parents) in AZ for my annual Thanksgiving duty, so I'm thinking of driving from Bay Area to Phoenix in the TT.

Any suggestions for an interesting, quick (and cop-free) route?

Best suggestion (least tickets) wins the usual prize....

Do yourself a big favor and head into Prescott/Sedona then south on I-17 to Phoenix.

Scenic route I drove in the spring...

Over the Sierras (50, or better yet, Yosemite), down 395, cut east through Death Valley through to Parump (sp? - rhymes with dump!) across Hoover Dam, over to Prescott, Sedona, and Phoenix. Can save time by cutting out Death Valley and continuing down 395. If going this way, go through Oatman on old route 66.
