Default Anyone else's (225hp) TT feel slooow...

Is it just me or does your TT not feel quite as "peppy" as the first few weeks you owned it? Don't get me wrong, the car still puts a grin on my face every time I drive it but it just doesn't "feel" as fast as it once did. I think I'm just used to the power now and nothing is actually "wrong" with the car (DV has been replaced). Anyone else feel like this? You now what they say....you can NEVER have enough power.

That's odd, considering you do have the fastest color combo.

Default I know what you mean

After owning it for a bit more than 2 months now I get the exact same feeling.
So I get my wife's RAV4 and give it a spin. Press the accelerator...(almost) nothing happens!
This reminds me again of how nimble the TT really is.

Default Several people have mentioned this, so I think there's an easy solution...

...Just head down to your local dealer and see if they will let you test drive a brand new TT. That should settle that.

Default Don't forget the stock ECU is supposed to "learn" your driving habits.

I felt the very same way (seems like so long ago now) <sigh>, and my dealer pointed this out to me. Kind of a catch-22. You're supposed to baby the car during the break in period, but all the while your stock ECU is "watching" you and supposedly adjusting to your driving style. Mine basically thinks I'm a wuss.

Default Im sure your just getting used to it. Try ...

renting an economy car for a day or two. When you get back in your TT you'll remember just how fast and fun it is.

Default Ya, but I drive the stink out of my TT........

I mean, that's what it's for. Right? It just seems that it doesn't have the same "ooomph" it once did. I'll have to go drive a new one and compare.
