Default Wellll....

...I've stayed at Excalibur. It's just a room, nothing fancy.

I stayed at Caeser's Palace. They had some beautiful rooms with big tub, mirrored ceiling, the works.

If you're going to gamble, Excalibur. If you're going to enjoy time with your significant other, Caeser's.

Default Bellagio is super. Aqua restaurant for seafood was superb.

Not inexpensive, however.

http://www.lvindex.com/vegas/dining/aqua.htm</a

Default I have been to about 5 or 6 . . .

Luxor, New York New York, Monte Carlo, Treasure Island and Mirage.

I loved Treasure Island. Bellagio was still under construction the last time I was there. from what I have seen, it is THE place to try out . . . if you can afford it.

Default I've been to ...

Mandalay Bay - Great place, pricey, no cheap food court areas, expect to wear a jacket to some of restaurants, great pool area for spring and summer months.

Luxor - Takes for ever to find your room, kinda cheesy.

Tropicana - OLD SCHOOL, the felt on the gaming tables are worn OUT. The trop theme is about 14 yrs outta date. Food choices are limited to maybe two places.

MGM Grand - it's huge, food court area is OK, Sports Book is huge. Not bad, but huge crowds.

New York, New York - huge, it's OK, they charge more than they should. Gets very crowded.

Monte Carlo - I do well here for gambling. Good atmosphere, rooms are OK, food is OK. Small sports book.

Treasure Island - nice, expensive, dining choices are limited. Pool area is nice, good sports book. The only casino that serves Anchor Steam Beer!!! What taste this place has!!

Stardust - old school baby, the travel lodge accomodations sucks. Dining sucks, people go mostly for the sports book - which is small compared ot MGM or Caesars. Regular rooms are average.

Hilton Towers - its off the strip, just like a Hilton nothing special, cab ride to anywhere else you want to go.

I haven't tried the Hard Rock Hotel, but you want to consider it - depends how old you are. Tailored for a young crowd.

Default Thye Venitian is, I believe, the largest hotel in the world. It has

a canal, complete with gondolas in which you can ride and be sung to. Incredible, and the restaurants are excellent.

Mandalay Bay and the Ventian are my current favorites, although both are pricy. Mandalay Bay has a nice rooms, great pool area, fun gambling, some very good restaurants. However, it is at the very end of the Strip, so you wind up taking a monorail to go to New York, New York or MGM and then walking from there.

Venitian is in the middle of everything. It has a small food court, but some very good restaurants. The rooms are very nice, and it has the nice shopping area around the "canal."

If your looking to save some bucks, Treasure Island and even the Mirage have some good rates, as does New York, New York. All three are good places to stay.
