Default I'm guessing its for draining water incase it somehow gets in there..

I thought the same thing, but it looks like the plug was there when it was undercoated.

Yes, there should be. I know because mine came loose...and I fixed it.

I figured it was either the drain for wiper area (unlikely), or it was a plug that fell out. Thanks

Default Good question. noticed this also when I was cleaning my...

wheelwells. Mine also look just like your picture. Lloyd might be right. Good question for the parts guy next time I stop in.

Default Well, took out the fender liner, and it would appear that there is a plug missing....

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/370/100-0066_img.jpg"></center><p>I say this because there is a hole without a ridge (IOW, water can escape more readily) just to the left of where the missing plug is located.
Thought those of you missing this plug might like to know.
