You know, these "quick" Saturday drives have to stop...
Tonight she again said we could go for a "quick drive" before dinner.
Up CO 119 to Longmont to CO 66 to Lyons to US 36 to Estes Park, up Trail Ridge Road to Many Parks Curve, where it's closed off for the season (and was snowing), back down, down US 34 to Loveland, back down I-25 home. Four hours and another 180 miles or so.
I don't think she's going to let me take her for a quick drive before dinner anymore... ;-)
Head back on Little Bit Curvy Tree Lined Road to Flat Road 100 and get onto Interstate 95 just so I can open her up a bit. Radar detector senses K band traffic ahead, so slow down to 'Merrican speeds and head home dejected.
Did I mention it was 80 degrees today. No, well, now I did and I feel a little better. The A/C is cranking as I speak.
