Is the TT already a Design Icon ?

Hi Everyone,

I'm doing a project on the status of the TT (and I'm also a big fan myself). I'd really appreciate your thoughts on the TT.

Is it already a classic piece of modern design ?
Is it a car well ahead of its time ?
Will it still look futuristic in 3 years time ?

just look at almost every concept vehicle since then...

typically the same front or rear roofline (or both)
flat multispoke wheels
similar headlights
similar body panels/lines
brushed aluminum is now "IN"
it changed the auto world

What Ross said and...

Every car from the newest Xterra to the new Z to the new Lexus borrows heavily from TT design. Even if, in the case of the Xterra the aluminium bits are really plastic. The look is the same.

Hey wait, two of those are Nissans...
