Rumor has it that ATT has started the switch from @home in my area.....

heard that they are limiting the bandwidth to 1.5mbit/sec transfer rate on the new network..... I'm gonna be real pissed if this the case and/or it stays that way for long.... If I wanted a slow connection, I would have used DSL.

Hopefully I'll be able to get the pictures from this weekend posted tonight.

I can deal with 1.5mbps cap...

...Especially if it works both ways. In fact, I would welcome the 1.5mbps cap if they remove that stoopid 128kbps upload cap. Remember, 1.5 mbps is still WAY faster than equivalently priced DSL. All I know is I'm already tired of dialup again.

I was getting 3-4mbps regularly.... will be quite a bump down for me.... agree on the up side....

you guys kill me.... my dsl was down 8 weeks

now that I have it back (no way does verizon's network even get close to 1.5) I'm in heaven...
One thing, mine is SDSL which means up/down are close to the same speed...

I feel bad for anyone on dialup, now that SUCKS...

What is a good way to test the download speed? ATT migrated me Saturday, supposedly 1.5Mbit/s

Actually, if I had to say, I think things are faster now. But this is just the way it feels right now. I'd really like some way to objectively measure it.
