Man would I love a car like this.. Build up an old A1 Cabriolet with a K04 upgraded 1.8T and be happy with a very fast 250ish hp in a 2200 lbs vehicle....WHEW!! fuggedabout even thinking of a Stage 3 in one of these early VW's =)....alright I thought about it =)
Anyway, this 'Rocco was one of the cleanest I have seen!

That angle is very close to the TT's 27-30* angle is you were to use the rear seatbelt anchor points.
In my MkI GTI I attached the belts to the cage I had in the car, he should do the same, especially since he has the cage already installed.

I traded it in for my truck that I needed to tow my race car that I had to get. I was getting too serious with the racing and my GTI was my daily driver. lolCar had just shy of 60,000 when I traded it in. A little over 10,000 was on the track. Great car. I need to get another GTI.

I never had a single mechanical problem with the 1988 version. The '87 was a nightmare. It leaked like a sieve.
My worst weekend with the 16V was a race weekend up in Lime Rock Park, in CT. I got 3 speeding tickets in 2 days! The same cop all 3 times.
