J#1 - P1ease check cooling system. Customer has noticed a residue (they don't say oil) in the over-flow tank.When car is hot "needle just above normal" customer smells coolant. The level of the coolant has gone down since last service"

Repair - "Removed coolant bottle and cleaned residue."

How the hell does this address the coolant smell and dropping level? How did the additional residue get in the over-flow tank? You would think they would flush it again.

J#2 - "Passenger side of engine cover (they meant belly pan) has grease on it. Please check CV boots and components in that area"

Repair - Inspected and this is normal as there is a small vent hole to relieve pressure. It is common for a small amount of grease to come out. This will stop"

It probably will, when the boot runs dry! This was not a "small" amount of grease and if it was normal, then why did it start @ 15K?

J#3 - There is a shield by the driver side intercooler that's cracked.

Repair - Nothing, they see no crack.

J#4 - The Rear suspension makes a noise when going over bumps like the "Aflak Duck"

Repair - " Inspection revealed struts and shocks have been modified. With cross drilled brake rotors. Air housing was replaced. Turbo bypass valve replaced, with aftermarket components"

This is crazy, what does a DV valve, Airbox and cross drilled brake rotors have to do with a suspension noise? F' um I'll fix the noise myself

J#5 - SHifter rattle

Repair - Tightened loose center console brackets

J#6 - Passenger side headrest rattles, especially bad when cold.

Repair - heard nothing unusual

J#7 - They replaced the windshield wiper blade inserts and filled the tank

J#8 - Replace headlight adjuster sensor. Please give an estimate to the customer for parts and labor

Repair -they installed it and never gave an estimate.. $121.70


So... they have my car for 8 days.

They replace my wiper blade inserts, wiper fluid, clean the oil out of the overflow coolant tank and tighten the center console.

Other then that, they were worthless. I'll need to find another dealer ASAP.

These people in Frederick don't even make an effort to satisfy the customer.

 

Chris, try Rockville. I have always had decent service from them (but only routine crap)...

why don't you try tischer...they've been very good.

 

Clearly, holes in the non-OEM rotors are allowing the oil to get into the coolant. Warranty denied!

 

their solution for my CEL was to reset the light!! DUH!! ....I've had great experience in Laurel....Mike Kelly is da man!!

 

It's a long drive for you Chris, but you should try Tischer in Silver Spring.
