Been reading the forum and the reviews.....
hehe CheersJust curious : anyone ever race an S4 with a 225TT ? Results ?
Second, the quaTTro factor: Get good tires (snow tires are HIGHLY recommended if you're in the snow belt) and wait for the first rain or snow. With the right tires and driven sensibly, the TT dances in bad weather.
The "Nothing to Prove" factor: The desire to best BMWs, riced-out Hondas and various SUVs goes away. Driving a TT means you have nothing to prove--faster/better/etc. is irrelevant. The TT is in a class of its own: an unparalled rolling piece of automotive art.
Next, the Forum factor: It's an addicTTion. Resistance is futile.
The "Mods" factor: The "TT unit" is a fact of life. You'll find out soon enough.
Finally, the people you'll meet factor: If you've been following the Forum very long, you already know most of the instigators... but by and large, the TT folks I know, instigators and lurkers alike, are good people. GTGs are outrageous!
Now, as for the Zymol/Zaino/Pinnacle thing, you're on your own
Welcome to the fray; hope to see ya at Asheville. Cheers!
I love driving and this is the very reason I got the TT. I've had more fun in the last 8mths weaving around in the canyons then I have ever had before in MY LIFE! Of course the modd bugg is catching.
Even if you do nothing else (chip, exhaust, etc) get a decent set of shocks and springs. This is the only downside of the TT from the factory. Instead of the historic McPherson set up on the original they put Monroes? - naaaa
Enjoy and I'm sure we'll meet up @ some point.
