Very good article. Thanks for posting. I like the way it goes from...
quite basic concepts to the more sophisticated.
Unfortunately there's a lot of other stuff one needs to know about to flesh out the article.

IMO, F1 has been doing that for a long time, and is one of the reasons for it's existence.
FWIW: That the world continues to exist is "proof" that a committee is NOT in charge.

I disagree with that statement! I've been following F1 for quite some time and have seen many of the items first tried on F1 cars directly put onto road cars in about 2-3 years. Things like electronic traction control, semi-auto transmissions, on board diagnostics and many others. Who knows what next!
